Privacy Policy for ShopShahar
ShopShahar is developed and operated by Techcraft IT Solution, Besishahar-07, Lamjung, Nepal. This policy explains what information the app collects from buyers and how it's used.
1Overview
ShopShahar lets you browse products from local vendors, add items to a cart or buy them directly, choose a delivery location, and place an order for cash-on-delivery. This policy covers the information the app handles when you do that.
By using ShopShahar to place an order, you agree to the handling of information as described in this policy.
2Data we collect

We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, or any other financial account information, because ShopShahar does not process online payments — see Cash on delivery below.
3Guest checkout vs. login
When you add a product to your cart or use "Buy Now," you can either submit your delivery information directly for that order, or log in with a username so your details and order history are saved for next time. Either way, the same basic information is used: enough to identify you and get your order to the right place.
4Delivery location
To complete an order, you select or enter the location where it should be delivered. This location is used only to route your order to the right vendor and delivery agent, and is tied to that order rather than tracked continuously in the background.
5Cash on delivery — no payment data
ShopShahar currently supports cash on delivery (COD) only — there is no in-app payment gateway. You pay the delivery agent directly when your order arrives. Because of this, we never collect or store credit/debit card numbers, banking details, or any other payment credentials through the app.
6How we use your data
- To process and fulfil the orders you place.
- To get your order to the correct delivery location.
- To let vendors and delivery agents know what to prepare and where to deliver it.
- To maintain your order history if you use a login.
- To contact you about an order or respond to support requests.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.
7Where data is stored
Your account, order, and delivery information is stored on servers operated by or on behalf of Techcraft IT Solution, so your orders can reach the right vendor and delivery agent and so you can track order status.
8Third-party services
ShopShahar may use standard infrastructure services (for example, push notification delivery or crash/analytics tools) to operate reliably and alert you about order updates. Where such services are used, they may process limited technical information such as device model, app version, and notification tokens, strictly to provide that functionality.
9Permissions
- Notifications: to alert you about order status updates.
- Internet access: required for the app to browse products and place orders.
The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, or SMS. If a delivery-location picker uses your device's location services, this is optional and only used to help pre-fill an address you can edit.
10Sharing of data
We share the order details needed to fulfil your order — your name, phone number, and delivery location — with the vendor and delivery agent handling that order. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
11Retention & account deletion
We retain your order history for as long as your account is active, so you can review past orders. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us using the details below and we'll process your request, subject to any records we need to keep for legal or dispute-resolution purposes (for example, a completed order history).
12Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information stored on our servers. Since ShopShahar doesn't process online payments, there's no card or banking data on our systems to secure in the first place. We still encourage you to use a strong password if you create a login.
13Children's privacy
ShopShahar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves — for example, if we add online payments or new features that change how data is handled. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever we do.
