Privacy Policy for DailyVault

1Overview

DailyVault is a personal finance and organization app that lets you record income and expenses, keep notes, track events, and upload and organize documents. This Privacy Policy describes how the app handles the information you put into it, and applies to everyone who uses DailyVault on Android.

By using DailyVault, you agree to the handling of information as described in this policy.

2Data we handle

DailyVault handles the following categories of information, all of which you enter or upload yourself within the app:

DailyVault does not require you to create an account or sign in to use its core features. We do not collect your name, phone number, or email address, and DailyVault does not use analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising services of any kind.

3Local storage

All the data described above is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. This data is not transmitted to Techcraft IT Solution or to any server we operate — we simply have no access to it. It stays on your phone unless you choose to back it up (see below) or share it yourself.

DailyVault also lets you create a local backup file, which is likewise saved to storage on your own device and stays under your control.

4Google Drive backup

DailyVault includes an optional feature to back up your data to your own Google Drive account. This is entirely your choice — nothing is backed up to Drive unless you turn it on.

When you use this feature, DailyVault requests a limited Google Drive permission (the drive.file scope) that only allows the app to create, read, and manage files that DailyVault itself has created in your Drive. DailyVault cannot see, access, or modify any other files in your Google Drive.

Your backup file is stored in your own Google Drive account, governed by your Google account and Google's own privacy practices. Techcraft IT Solution does not receive a copy of this data and cannot access it. You can review or revoke DailyVault's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. 5Permissions the app requests

• Storage / files: to save the local SQLite database, let you upload and organize documents, and create local backup files.
• Google account access (optional): requested only if and when you turn on Google Drive backup, limited to files the app creates (see above).

DailyVault does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or SMS unless a specific feature you use requires it, in which case Android will prompt you for that permission at the time it's needed.

6Sharing of data

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Because your income, expense, notes, event, and document data stays on your device (and, if you opt in, in your own Google Drive), Techcraft IT Solution has no copy of it to share in the first place. The only outside party involved at all is Google, and only for the optional Drive backup feature described above.

7Retention & deletion

• Your data remains on your device for as long as you keep the app installed.
• Uninstalling DailyVault removes its local database and local backup files from your device, consistent with standard Android behavior.
• If you've backed up to Google Drive, that backup remains in your Drive until you delete it yourself — from within the app if supported, or directly in Google Drive.
• Since we don't hold a copy of your data on any server, there's nothing for us to retain or delete on our end.

8Security

Your data's security depends in part on the security of your own device and Google account. We'd recommend using a device lock screen and standard Google account protections (like two-factor authentication) if you use the Drive backup feature. DailyVault does not transmit your data to us, which removes an entire category of risk — there's no Techcraft-operated server holding your information that could be breached.

9Children's privacy

DailyVault is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. As the app doesn't collect data on our end at all, this is a low-risk area, but the app is intended for general/adult use in managing personal finances and documents.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new feature that changes how data is handled. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
